Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 17 June 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Waigumo Safaris website and the booking of any safari or travel arrangements with us. By making an enquiry or booking, you agree to these terms.

1. Definitions

"We"/"us"/"our" means Waigumo Safaris. "You"/"traveller" means the person making an enquiry or booking and any travellers in their party. "Services" means the tours, packages and arrangements we provide or arrange.

2. Quotes and pricing

  • Prices shown on the website are indicative starting points ("from" prices) and vary with season, availability, group size, accommodation tier and currency.
  • A firm price is confirmed in your written quote. Quotes are valid for the period stated and are subject to availability until a deposit is received.
  • Park fees, permits (including gorilla permits) and government taxes are set by third parties and may change without notice.

3. Bookings and payment

  • A booking is confirmed once we accept it and the required deposit is received.
  • We accept payment via PayPal, Paystack (card and mobile money) and M-Pesa. Payments are processed by those providers under their own terms.
  • The balance is due by the date stated in your booking confirmation. Late payment may result in cancellation and loss of deposit.

4. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation terms depend on the suppliers involved (lodges, camps, permits and flights) and are set out in your booking confirmation. Some elements — notably gorilla/chimpanzee permits and peak-season camps — are often non-refundable. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance. Refunds, where due, are processed via the original payment method.

5. Changes

If you need to change a confirmed booking we will do our best to accommodate it, subject to supplier availability and any costs. Occasionally we may need to alter an itinerary for reasons such as weather, wildlife movements, safety or supplier changes; we will offer a comparable alternative where possible.

6. Travel documents, visas and health

  • You are responsible for valid passports, visas and entry permits for Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and any transit countries.
  • You are responsible for meeting health and vaccination requirements (for example yellow fever) and for any medication you need.
  • Travel and medical insurance is a condition of travel and your responsibility.

7. Liability

We act as an organiser arranging services with carefully selected suppliers. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss, injury, delay or damage caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, or by the acts or omissions of independent suppliers. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Force majeure

We are not responsible for failure to perform due to events beyond our control, including natural events, epidemics, civil unrest, strikes, government action, or transport disruption.

9. Conduct

Travellers must follow guides' instructions and park/conservancy rules, which exist for your safety and to protect wildlife. We may decline or end participation where conduct endangers others or wildlife, without refund.

10. Intellectual property

All content on this website — text, imagery and design — belongs to Waigumo Safaris or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.
